Question 1

What is GrocerIQ?

Accepted Answer

GrocerIQ is an offline-ready mobile app that compares prices across supermarkets (Puregold, SM, Robinsons, etc.), scans shelf barcodes in-aisle, keeps your cart within budget, and plans affordable meals with Suki AI. Shoppers typically save 18% to 28% every trip.

Question 2

Guest vs. Google Sign-In: What's the difference?

Accepted Answer

As a Guest, everything is saved locally on your phone—no email required. Signing in with Google unlocks Smart Product Recognition to automatically identify items when scanning, plus automatic multi-device backup.

Question 3

How does offline syncing work?

Accepted Answer

When you shop in a basement with no signal, everything is saved locally on your phone. As soon as you reconnect to Wi-Fi or data, your data quietly backs up in the background.

Question 4

Does GrocerIQ sell my data or receipts?

Accepted Answer

No. Your shopping lists and spending history are 100% private. Receipt scans strip all personal info and only log supermarket shelf prices.

Question 5

What is the difference between a Checklist and a Grocery List?

Accepted Answer

They are the exact same thing! In GrocerIQ, both refer to your custom shopping lists with target prices, budget meters, and store comparisons.

Question 6

Why does GrocerIQ work offline?

Accepted Answer

Supermarket basements often have zero mobile signal. GrocerIQ stores your catalog on your phone so you can scan barcodes and check prices instantly without internet.

Question 7

Can I track items without barcodes (meat, produce)?

Accepted Answer

Yes! You can type plain item names and estimated prices on any checklist. You can also snap paper receipts with OCR to auto-log unbarcoded items straight into your price history.

Question 8

Does checking off items save them to my permanent catalog?

Accepted Answer

No. Ticking items on a checklist only tracks your live shopping trip. Items are officially added to your permanent price catalog when you scan a barcode or snap a receipt.

Question 9

How do live cart totals and budget alerts work?

Accepted Answer

As you scan items or tick checklist items in the aisle, GrocerIQ updates your live Cart Total. If you exceed your preset trip budget, it gives you an instant overage warning before checkout.

Question 10

Which supermarkets are supported?

Accepted Answer

GrocerIQ tracks prices across major chains like SM Supermarket, Puregold, Robinsons, Landers, S&R, WalterMart, Dali, Alfamart, and local neighborhood grocers.

Question 11

Why are checklists linked to specific supermarket branches?

Accepted Answer

Prices differ between branches and locations. Linking your checklist ensures your cart totals and price comparisons match the exact store you are shopping in.

Question 12

Can I use one checklist to compare prices across stores?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Create your list once, then tap the 'Store Comparison' tab. GrocerIQ calculates your total basket cost across Puregold, SM, Robinsons, and more, highlighting the lowest bill.

Question 13

What happens when I scan an item at a different store?

Accepted Answer

GrocerIQ records the new price point for that store without overwriting past data. This updates your side-by-side store price comparisons and personal historical averages.

Question 14

How do deal badges (Great Price / Above Usual) work?

Accepted Answer

GrocerIQ compares today's shelf price against your personal purchase history. If it's cheaper than usual, you get a green Great Price badge. If prices spiked, it flags an Above Usual warning.

Question 15

Who is Suki and what can I ask?

Accepted Answer

Suki is your built-in AI grocery assistant. Ask Suki for budget meal ideas, ingredient substitutes when shelves are empty, or tips to stretch your weekly grocery budget in English or Taglish.

Question 16

How does Chef Suki meal planning work?

Accepted Answer

Set your budget ceiling (e.g. ₱500–₱1,500), number of days, and family size. Chef Suki generates step-by-step recipes and exports all ingredients into a 1-tap grocery checklist.

Question 17

How does the receipt scanner work?

Accepted Answer

Snap a photo of your paper supermarket receipt. GrocerIQ automatically extracts all items, quantities, and prices in seconds, saving you from manual typing.

Question 18

Is GrocerIQ free?

Accepted Answer

Yes! The Free plan includes offline barcode scanning, store price comparisons, essential checklists, and receipt logging. GrocerIQ Pro is available for power shoppers who want higher monthly AI quotas.

Question 19

What is included in GrocerIQ Pro?

Accepted Answer
